Yay! I posted a session. I was thrilled to meet this little girl and her mother.  I know she will be loved beyond measure in this sweet family. Congrats you guy!
And in 2 days I am off to Seattle for photographers retreat. So excited!

I recently signed up to attend a photographer's retreat in Seattle hosted by Chic Critique.
I am so excited to go and learn ways to improve my photography and business.  I am hoping by then to give my website and business a facelift.  Maybe posting again to my blog will get me moving : )

Hooray, I actually posted a session!  I was trying to clear my desktop and realized I have not blogged nearly a dozen sessions.  Terrible.  Hopefully this is me doing a bit better :)
This gorgeous mommy and daughter were such a pleasure to work with.  I have photographed two of her older children and was so happy to hear they were adding a third.  Little Evelyn was a perfect little model.  I love working with my newborns :)

For Anna

Ok - editing these pictures for my friend, Anna has motivated me to do better in blogging my sessions again. This was a bit of a harder session with this darling little girl being a little bit older.  But we still got some great, sweet pictures.  I guess it's a good time to post that I will be revamping my business and will be doing newborns less than 7 days exclusively.  Maybe with my kiddos back in school, I'll have a bit of time to get my ridiculously outdated website updated. Maybe.
Well, I hope you love these Anna, the two of you are absolutely gorgeous : )

Yes, I have been a bum in keeping up with my blog.  I have sessions to post and will try to get them up soon.  Just enjoying summer with my kiddos.  Here is my youngest at 6 months. Gatta love the hair and the green eyes : )

Do you not just love this darling little girl's name? (the "s" is silent)  It was a perfect session.  Islie was a perfect little model.  And her mother was sweet as could be.  Just another day loving what I do :)

So. I am going to keep it real and confess something here.  On the day of this session I was two seconds away from cancelling this session.  It was a major baby-blues day for me and getting to a point to receive a new client and photograph their baby felt impossible.  But I didn't.  And I'm so glad I didn't.  Not only did I meet a wonderful couple and get some darn cute shots of their darling little boy (if I do say so myself), but it pulled me out of the baby blue feeling.  It reminds me yet again of how much I love doing what I do.  So happy for this couple and their newest addition : )

Amidst a super busy weekend, we squeezed in a session with this darling little boy.  He was an absolute angel and a perfect little newborn model.  His mom has been super patient in getting these back - it really has been so hard to edit lately.  Thanks for being so patient Meredith: ) Lovely, lovely family.

Happy Easter (and update)

Happy Easter everyone :) To celebrate, here are some pictures of my sweet little chubby bunny.  He is 2 months today and sure has filled out nicely (note: these were taken when he was 2 weeks old). I am enjoying my sweethearts so much.
I have been doing some evaluating and have decided that I am going to cut back on my sessions. So until further notice, I will not be taking any sessions except my signature newborn sessions of babies less than 10 days old.  I have my plate full and can only give that much of myself.  There will come a time when I will make photography my world, but this is not the season.  In the meantime, I'll keep improving my knowledge and skills and enjoy raising my 5 beautiful children :)
